MSc Industrial Catalysis and Sustainable Energy
The objective of the Interinstitutional Postgraduate Study Program (IPSP) entitled “Industrial Catalysis and Sustainable Energy” is to educate and prepare executives who will be employed in the chemical and energy industry with advanced knowledge in the scientific areas of industrial catalysis, environmental chemistry and engineering, and sustainable energy engineering. This IPSP will comprehensively examine catalysis as a unified field (heterogeneous, homogeneous, enzymatic) with an emphasis on the sustainability of chemical processes applied in the chemical and energy industry. At the same time, the M.Sc. will investigate the compliance of modern industrial catalytic processes with the United Nations Global Goals for the transition to sustainable energy, as well as with the terms of the agreements under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
In particular, the M.Sc. aims to combine theoretical knowledge with modern technologies and practical application, preparing postgraduate students for the needs of the market and research in the following fields of knowledge:
a) Design and development of catalytic processes.
b) Applied catalysis in the chemical industry.
c) Modeling, simulation and optimization of catalytic processes.
d) Sustainable energy production and sustainable development.
e) Biofuel chemistry and technology.
f) Tackling climate change.
g) Environmental protection.
